Shaw has wide experience in the construction
of culverts and pipelines including:
• The stock underpass and the majority of
the drainage works on the East Tamar outlet – Newnham
Creek to Barnard’s Creek.
• A 390m long 2100mm diameter concrete pipeline at
the Pateena Road intersection of the Bass Highway
constructed under contract R-N/R-114. Shaw also
manufactured the 2100mm.diameter class 1.5Z reinforced
concrete pipes used in this project utilising
vertical cast technique.
• A total of 4.1 kilometres of culverts
of various sizes completed as part of our Bass
Highway Projects
from Penguin to Chasm Creek.
•
800m of trench drains up to 10m in depth were successfully
installed on the Bass Highway – Saddle
to Zig Zag
Road project to drain potential and
active slips in wet conditions.
