Yardperson – Workshop
The Opportunity
Our Launceston workshop is a busy, well-equipped hub and we need a reliable, experienced yardperson to keep it running smoothly. This is a hands on role: operating heavy rigid trucks and forklifts, managing and washing machinery/plants, getting parts where they need to be and keeping the yard in top shape so our crews hit the ground running every day.

The Role
As our yardperson, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the yard, organising materials, and supporting day-to-day logistics. This role suits someone who takes pride in a clean, efficient workspace and enjoys working with construction machinery and equipment.
What the Role Looks Like
- Maintain and organise the yard and equipment
- Manage washing machinery, keeping equipment clean and job ready at all times
- Assist with loading/unloading of materials and machinery
- Operate forklifts and other machinery safely and efficiently
- Support project delivery teams with logistics and supply needs
- Conduct basic maintenance and pre-start checks on equipment
- Contribute to a culture where safety is not just a policy – it is how we all go home
Employment options include permanent/fixed full time and part time, or casual.
What You’ll Bring
- Previous experience in a yard person or similar role
- Passion for machinery and mechanical equipment
- Strong focus on workplace health, safety and environment
- Valid Driver’s Licence (current with no restrictions)
- Valid Forklift Licence (required)
- Good physical fitness and a proactive, reliable attitude
- A team first mindset with the initiative to work independently
