Shaw completed subgrade repairs and resurfacing works on a 500 m section of the Midland Highway near Powranna under the Department of State Growth’s select empanelment. With traffic maintained on one of Tasmania’s busiest highways, Shaw detensioned centre wire rope barriers and implemented innovative traffic staging to improve safety and flow. Subgrade issues were resolved collaboratively, and refinements to the sealing strategy delivered improved outcomes and cost savings, with works completed ahead of programme.
