TASK
Shaw delivered the design and construction of the Duck Irrigation Scheme, including 60 kilometres of pipeline, two pump stations, balance tanks, and Tasmania’s first fibre optic installation along an irrigation network. The project supported 30 farms and required careful coordination across sensitive environments, private properties, and acid sulphate soil management. Completed ahead of winter, the scheme was operational for the 2018–19 season, enabling efficient water use for cropping and livestock.
