TASK

To help restore the historic Lower Lake Margaret Power Station, Shaw replaced ageing wood stave and steel pipelines with a combination of new timber and fibreglass-reinforced plastic. The project balanced engineering complexity with heritage protections across a remote, environmentally sensitive site. Delivered on time and budget, the result reconnected the station to Tasmania’s grid and created a new feature in the state’s West Coast wilderness tourism landscape.
