As part of Hydro Tasmania’s system enhancement program, Shaw delivered key civil works for the Red Hills Creek Diversion. The project aimed to boost water inflows to Lake Plimsoll by capturing overland runoff and directing it into existing infrastructure leading to the Tribute Power Station. Development of the diversion tunnel utilised underground mining equipment and drill and blast techniques. Shaw constructed diversion structures and pipework under complex site conditions, helping improve water capture for future power generation.
