Ahead of rising tailings levels, Shaw excavated and placed high-quality rock material from within the dam footprint for future use in dam wall construction. Despite challenging winter weather and active tailings discharge, the team safely accessed key areas and delivered material efficiently without disrupting operations. Early construction of access roads and ramps preserved wall integrity and increased overall dam capacity for upcoming expansion works.
