TASK
Shaw transformed a busy T-intersection into a dual-lane roundabout on the East Tamar Highway under live traffic conditions. Works included road realignment, stormwater upgrades, lighting installation and subgrade improvements in a flood-prone area. Despite complex traffic staging, stakeholder coordination and challenging ground conditions, Shaw delivered a safer, more efficient intersection for Launceston’s northern suburbs. This project won Shaw a prestigious award with the Civil Contractors Federation (CCF).
