Shaw Contracting (Aust) Pty Ltd, is a leading provider of Civil, Building and Mining Contracting services. We are seeking a highly motivated and energetic person to fill the role of Diesel Mechanic based at our Newnham workshop and requires regular travel to project sites across Tasmania. This is a full-time position.

Key Responsibilities:

• Diagnosis, repair and maintenance of mechanical, pneumatic, diesel systems, auto electrical, and hydraulic repairs in accordance with requirements detailed on job cards.
• All general servicing tasks.
• Coaching, mentoring, training of Apprentices, Trades Assistants.
• To maintain quality and urgency in the work performed.

Essential Requirements:

• Civil construction industry or a similar related field.
• Proven experience in a similar fleet workshop/field service role.
• Possess a Trade Qualification as a Diesel Mechanic
• Open HR license preferred but not essential
• Ability to work unsupervised
• Demonstrated ability working within a fast-paced environment
